Went ahead and started working to incorporate the Wiimote into the TGE as another input device. When I'm finished I plan on releasing a resource that will let developers use a Wiimote much like any other input device.

Work is based highly on the cWiiMote source code by Kevin Forbes

http://www.wiili.org/index.php/CWiimote

and the Xbox Controller Source code found on the TDN

I currently have the Wiimote connected using a Toshiba stack bluetooth adapter.

I've updated the engine/platformWin32 input files and I am tacking this onto the directinput code.

I'm testing my progress using the TGE 1.5 starter.racing kit.

Most fabulous! I will be watching this project with much interest. I've been enjoy hacking around with Darwiinremote on my laptop and playing with it in OpenGL, but I would absolutely love to see something like this brought into TGE and TGB and made available.

Out of curiosity, are you starting to make consideration yet for cross-platformness? I've been watching Rob Terrell's project with much curiosity, but he hasn't made any announcement yet as to if he's going to release his patches publicly or not.

So sincerely, thanks for moving on this! I'm very excited about it, and hope you keep us all posted with your progress. Please let us know where you'd like help. :)

Three clints agree, oh wait a mo, still only two, but would of been cool if three clints agreed on the same thing. I look forward to hearing your progress on this!

@Clint(s)

I talked to Rob and he assured me he would be releasing his code as a resource. But, I've got no idea when that is going to happen. That's what prompted me to get moving on the task.
