A TGB Game!

In the first week of May I had the privledge of attending the very first TOjam. The jist of the event was to gather independent developers from around Toronto to see what teams could come up with in 3 days.
And what an awesome experience it was! There were indie developers working on games, and even a developer from a professional studio working on his own mini version of Guitar Hero. Not only that but for the event, I and other teams were granted temporary TGB licenses. Which was also, very awesome ;).
So it was a great chance to get my hands dirty with TGB and see what it was all about.
Me and my brothers put aside the 3 days for the event and had a good idea of the game we wanted to create before we arrived.
For those 3 days, it was by far the most rapid game development experience I have ever had. Not only that - but time became a bit of a blur. I continually shocked myself whenever I looked up at a clock. I really had no idea of the amount of hours I could spend in a single day continually hammering out a game, and how much fun I could have with it in the process ;).
The name of the game I created with TGB in 3 days was called Heavy Weather.
It's not exactly a blockbuster hit, but I can't complain for 3 days :).
And unlike the previous game I created, you can actually play this one :).
And all games required certain art/sound to be incorporated that was Toronto related. One of these pieces of art was a goat on a pole. Yep - it's in there.
Take a look at some of the other games too! There are a lot of really neat and innovative ideas for games.
So if you haven't already, check out the TOjam site. Look at the pics, presentations, and games ;).
Since the TOJam there's been a lot of TGE development, a resource pending approval, and a much larger game being worked on.
Lots of fun Torque stuff.
