Alright, I admit it. I have always been concerned that reviewers wouldn't "get" MoM... or more precisely give it a chance and play it. Well, so far so good. The reviews are starting to creep in:

"The best MMORPG I have played in the last decade." - GamersInfo.net

"This is something of a masterpiece of a game" - GameTunnel.com

"The sheer amount of content is enough to keep you busy for hours." - Inside Mac Games

"The most unique, incredible part of this game is the amount of freedom that has been offered to the players" - GamePlasma.com

Game Plasma Review <--- I love this one :)

Gamer's Info Review

I have some interviews lined up and my mail box has become more interesting in the last weeks. Also, the Wishek Star will be coming to the Prairie Games World Headquarters for an exclusive story. The Wishek Star has a circulation of about 500 people... As my great, great grandfather was one of the original 30 odd settlers of the town, I am sure he would be proud :)

We'll have a test of version 1.1 up soonish. We're also working on the game's manual and drafting a number of policies that running an indie MMORPG has necessitated. I also want to come up with a name for our free server array... something along the lines of battle.net :)

I have a very good feeling about this!

Oh, and I have to share this quote from a player in the Russian Federation:

"With thanks for interesting play!"

Yes!

Josh, I've been following your progress for years now. Congratulations, it is extremely awesome to see you move forward with your dream like this.

I've been following this project since you first announced your "WAD to MAP" code to move things from a simpler DOOM-style tool to the more complex MAP format. And I know there are folks here who have been following it for a lot longer than that. Minions of Mirth is an OUTSTANDING accomplishment, and you should be very proud.

I don't have much time to play either - but since there's no monthly fee, I have no problems with just dropping in for a half hour here and there and exploring. Though I learned last night - it can be dangerous to wander around through undead-infested vales when you are half-asleep.

Hehe, I'm starting to really realize now how much of "in the middle of nowhere" you actually are... =)
