Minions of Mirth: YOU ARE THE MONSTER!!!!
Holy Cow! I was playing MoM and I got this crazy message about a monster template being unlocked:

It seems that while you are playing the Fellowship of Light and Minions of Darkness realms... it's possible to unlock monsters to play in an entirely new realm, appropriately named the:

Monster Realm

Rawr!!!! I thought to myself and I quickly rocked out unlocking a whole slew of monsters to play!!!!

It seems that there are these "Monster Templates" that you can use to create your very own customized monster!!!! WoW!!! You can even level up your monster, equip it, and get new skills, spells, and advancements for it!!!!

This Lord guy sounded like a cool guy to base "Josh the Destroyer" on... and he sure was... check this out:

I am going to level a Dust Mite up to level 50 next and call him "Mighty Mite"!!!! I can't wait to PvP some high and mighty elf with this guy... maybe I'll get some buds together and storm Trinst with an army of Mangled Corpses!!!!!!

I can because:

I AM THE MONSTER!!!! RAWR!!!!

Okay, I am taking a couple weeks off to play when MoM ships. :) Josh, this game keeps getting better and better. Can't wait until the wide world hears a whole lot more about MoM, I think everyone is going to be blown away at what you guys are accomplishing.

@Josh: ;)

For anyone who missed this... PLAYER HOSTED WORLDS!!!!:

Minions of Mirth features a dedicated world server that is 100% free to download. It includes the World Server RPG source code, the RPG database source code, and the Genesis compiler. It also includes all the game assets you need to host and mod a Minions of Mirth world!!!!

I recently added support for custom banners and descriptions in the world selection GUI. This helps folks advertise the uniqueness of their world, describes the rules for players, tells what mods might be installed, etc. Check it out:

Woohoo! Player operated persistent worlds!!!

You guys are doing such a great job.

Holy cow, Josh. After all this time you're still poking my eyes out with exclamation marks. ;-)

That said, I'm damn impressed with what you've done so far. Not only are you giving players the core features they need, but the MMO toys they've always wanted but never been given. Keep it up!

Wow, this sounds even more interesting than those archetypical adolescent's MMO design documents where one of the key features is "you can do anything."

Will you be able to eat some real player will being a monster?
