Minions of Mirth Web Server
continued from a previous plan
We've embedded a full web server in the Minions of Mirth World Server!!!
From work (and elsewhere), players will be able to log into live worlds and check ladder results, news items, who's online, and even chat with people that are playing the game. Players will be able to browse their characters online, trade items, coordinate raids and guild activities, etc... Immortals will have access to an interactive shell and can administer their world and zone servers remotely :)

Again, this is being served BY THE MINIONS OF MIRTH WORLD SERVER :) Think about that for a second... oooohhhh yeeeeaaaahhhhhh :)

PS: Coding for the web pretty much makes my brain explode. Huge props to Rick Overman for the work he's done on this site :)

I noticed you highlighted "trade items". Well, if you put in some kind of Auction House, Bazaar, whatever zone or building or system make sure that is accessable from the web too!
Lack of web access to that system is a big complaint by some people about WoW. There's really no excuse that almost the whole non-combat game can be done over the web.
Seriously, why not?

To be clear, there isn't one instance of this web site. EVERY Minions of Mirth World Server can be configured to host web access...
I actually think a substantial portion of the game should be playable via the web... people have time to dink around on a web page for a few minutes during work/weekend/home... it's much harder to find time to actually log into a 3d world :) The 3d version is like MoM Hardcore... and the web version is like MoM Casual :) Obviously the same game though...

Anyway, I will assume this is in Python, along with quite a bit of MoM?
