ActionRPG, New Game
Spent the weekend helping get the next game which uses my engine Gold and to the duplicator... when it hits the shelves, I'll announce it here... fun little sucker :)

Since my last .plan, I have made excellent progress on the ActionRPG persistency system. I am using ZODB (the Zope Object Database) instead of a RDBMS..

I wanted an Object Oriented database that can be within the server's process... that has a good cache mechanism, transactions, versions, and a good query system (which IndexedCatalog gives ZODB)...

World Admins don't need to futz with SQL or external database administration, and I don't have to apply the Relational Model to the game's data... I can naturally store objects which reference one another.

The database can even be served by multiple machines via ZEO (Zope Enterprise Objects) ... so if you get all crazy and make a MASSIVE world, the system will scale...

Onward!

Awesome! There's that word massive again!

Do you have a public CVS server available for ActionRPG yet?
