Bug Fixes and Enhancements
* Fixed a bug that was preventing players from being able to click on items in the Craft and Pet window after swapping characters at an Inn.
* Trading now prevents an Inn from being used.
* Using an Inn now prevents any trade from starting.
* Added spell exclusions and updated stats on several Bard spells/songs.
* Last party now gets saved independently of last realm. Players can finally have last party settings for all realms simultaneously.
* Monster players now receive full experience penalty when killing low level players.
* Players can now toggle PC and NPC names on or off. This is available through the Graphics tab in the Options menu.
* Chat and game window fonts can now be changed. Check the Chat tab in the Options menu. Note: Windows will list all system fonts, and OSX (currently) lists a small set of hardcoded fonts. Some of these fonts may not display correctly. At this point, these settings are not saved.
* Clicking on the wolf (which is now a button) shrinks tracking window down to essential information. Clicking again displays list again.
* Added key to Tarkus Tomb to Sand Golem's loot table so monsters can go in the tomb.
* Added stats to Rat Form.
* Reduced charges on Amethyst Crucibles to 12.
* Added new texture for Tillium armor.
* Using shortcut to exit should no longer crash the client.
* /rangedattack and /stopcast macros should now work as intended.
* 'Enchanted by ...' should no longer override 'Crafted by ...'
* Disabled the skillup sound.
* Duration in encyclopedia should now show for all spells.
* Added a few more encyclopedia links to game messages.
* In most cases, if a player is killed and bound in a different zone, the killing blow should now display in chat once the player finishes zoning.
* Assassin and Thieves now have the same size mana pool as other non-casters. Bard's mana pool should not have been affected.
* Changed the wording on power set requirements to read 'at least' instead of 'more than or exactly'.
* /me will no longer be remembered as the last channel for chat.
* Changed global emotes so that a period is not automatically appended to the end.
* Fixed a bug that could lead to disconnects while zoning in single player.
* Crafted items now get the 'Crafted by <name>' appended to original item description. Previously only 'Crafted by <name>' would be set. This is especially useful for cooking and brewing tools/crafts. Already crafted items retain their previous description.
* Creating new non-FoL characters no longer displays FoL character list on wrong tab after creation.
* Improved code to take multiple items from players properly.
* Fixed proc effect on Fist of Focus (FoF weaken)
* Changed Shield Bash ending message.
* Fixed a minor terrain texture problem in Kauldur.
* Pet leash has been removed.
* Skills can no longer be used while feared, stunned, or asleep.
* Slightly increased the range required to use a forge with blacksmithing to 10m. Updated forge locations to be much closer to the actual forge models. This should decrease the number of out of range messages.
* Deleting a character will now delete associated data from settings. Previously, dead files would remain.
edit: not all files have been covered yet, journal and macros will still remain. All data gets cleaned from settings database though (all prepared).
* Poisons and spell enchantments now persist on logout and zoning.
* Quartered health costs on spell enchanting failure.
* Channel filters now get remembered and set on zone in.
* Points of interest are now fully handled via new player settings. One step further with dynamic pois. Use '/map <description>' to create a new point of interest at the position you're standing at. Use '/unmap <description>' to remove the point of interest with said description in the current zone. Predefined pois cannot be removed permanently. Description should not be longer than 35 characters, for better visibility and removal, length gets checked. Dynamic points of interest are per-character, so changing character or main character in a party will alter the set of current points of interest in tracking and on minimap.
* Last party now stores last used party, not last party that was logged in. (Remembers changes at the Inn)
* Fixed a stacking bug when buying stackable items from vendors, in some circumstances the player would not get enough items.
* Changed stacking when buying from vendors so it can now partially stack on a nearly complete stack, rest gets added to a new stack. Previously had to either stack fully or not at all.
* Spell enchanting failure check completely redone. The higher the spell level to enchant, the more difficult. The nearer the item level to the minimally required item level, the higher the difficulty. Relative repair value further increases difficulty, best keep your enchanting target fully repaired. Chance for failure when enchanting spells has also been adjusted, if difficulty is kept in range of skill level, failure rate should not exceed 2:7 (previously non-relative, max skill level still 1:2).
* Points of interest now show distances in Tracking Window.
* Tracking window is now transparent, except for the tracking list, and its height is resizeable.
* Added two lightning spell effects, LightningSpell_CastingSmall and LightningSpell_ImpactSmall. They get used by the Lightning Spark spell, in exchange additional particle emitters, zodiac and shockwave have been removed.
* Increased frequency of Mite Pincers dropping.
* Own pets no longer show in minimap, only on tracking.
* Adjusted high end crafted arrows.
* Fixed typo with Istri's Alliance Cleansing.
* Added Artifact flag to several items (some had variants of 10 levels lower).
* Fixed exclusions on Istri's spells.
* Added Istri's Cleansing (vendor), Istri's Alliance Cleansing (Stone Golem), and Greater Ward of the Elements (vendor).
* Added descriptions to some Trinst NPCs.
* Fixing a bug which allowed players to select Neuter in character generation.
* Changed blacksmithing dialog to include recipe for Keepsake.
* The Command Textbox will now always clear itself after a command is entered. This should prevent previous commands from automatically appearing.
* Weapon mods and banes now also count as disenchantables: weapons like savage, vicious, of lucidity, ... all can now be disenchanted as well (if they fulfill the other requirements).
* Fixed bane enchantments on weapons to not automatically vanish when a stat gets disenchanted.
* Due to a bug, debuff variants always had power and type linked. Every debuff type can be of different strength now.
* Fixed a bug with items breaking.
* Fixed a bug that would cause item set's damage procs and item procs to get added to a list of effects to check for triggering multiple times. For example, after a mob was attacked 100 times, an item set damage proc would get checked 100 times per combat round.
* Optimized how damage reflection is handled.
* Casting will not even attempt to begin if a mob is under the effects of fear, stun, sleep, or suppress casting. This should prevent a spell's recast time from being applied if a mob attempts to cast while under these effects.
* Fixed a bug with mob updates that should allow stationary mobs to be feared. The bug would cause a mob to not update its inside/outside status until it had traveled a certain distance. Higher level or modded fears or remaining in melee distance of a feared mob's spawn point was causing fear to not affect the mob.
* Fix to dialog spawn trigger.
* In the Encyclopedia, 'Add to Chat' links will always append the link to the chat text.
* Mobs should now retarget a pet's master if pet is feared and master is in follow range and sight.
* Added descriptions to some NPCs in Trinst.
* Updated in game credits.
* Changed Ingimo's texture.
* Fixed a turtle spawning in the ground in the swamp.
* Fixed typo in Reaver Wilder description.
* Fixed typo in cook/brew quest.
* First step on moving player settings to a single database instead of distributed files. Moved friends, ignored lists and window settings to new db. Old settings get converted.
* Fixed inconsistency in range of Monk Flying Tiger skill.
* Fixed exclusions on Incorporeal and Ethereal Manifestation.
* Fixed cloning errors with elementals and golems. Loot tables and difficulty modifiers were being incorrectly applied.
* Fixed exclusion on Regeneration of the Troll.
* Fixes to character vaults.
* Fixed range calculation for skills.
* Mobs should now use skills properly, with all restrictions.
* Orb of Abomination is now an artifact and only drops from the Grave Ghoul.
* Optimized armor damage. Only items that are equipped and have repair values get iterated over when a player receives damage.
* Added Frenzied Spine Ring to Frenzied Crawlers (rare drop).
* Added new skeleton color textures.
* Added disclaimer to description of quest recipes that can't be made before completing the proper quests.
* The Buff Window is now sorted by type of spell and then by time remaining. Harmful spells will appear first followed by beneficial spells.
* Perma haste, stun, flight should be fixed.
* Fear's failure message changed to 'Fear effects only work in open areas.'
* When enchanting a spell onto a weapon, the enchanter must qualify (meet the class and level requirements) for the spell.
* Items on cursor now get reassigned on character switching at inn. They will thus remain on cursor until logout or placing of item.
* Fixed a bug with restoring items on cursor when adding a character at the inn that has an item with the cursor slot in his posession.
* Fixed item cloning to produce correct amount of food and drink values (splitting items).
* Added waterbreathing to Padloper.
* Updated journal text of Cooking / Brewing quest to mention needing Beer.
* Removed spell damage cap on player targets.
* Adjusted some messages to give more information (with encyc linking).
* Added feedback for skills resisted by spawns resistance value calculation.
* Added a few additional messages to skill / spell failures.
* Non-aoe skills should no longer activate with an invalid target.
* Added more feedback and encyc links to skill uses.
* AoE spells now properly check to exclude players with too low relative level from automatic targeting.
Code Updates and Enhancements - For Developers and Moderators
* Got rid of most of the twisted exceptions on exit.
* Moved item list assignment from mob tick to mob init. Before introduction of item instances reassignment was necessary, it is no longer necessary.
* Improved drink/food and item tick handling. Special drink, food and tick item dictionaries are now kept parallel to item list. Item list needs to be completely copied a few times less than before per mob tick.
* Fixed a bug that could occur in simulation when overriding scale.
* Added an expireMessage field to item proto. The message gets displayed when life time ends and item is taken away from character. The message supports the same formatting as item set equip messages.
* Changed the testAFX function in mob class, it can now be used via '/imm testafx <afxeffect>'. If a target is selected, it will be used as spell target, otherwise the caster (missiles work slightly differently, to watch them deselect target).
* Fixed volcano effects, in several instances there were higher max than min values, producing warnings. Min and max in these cases have been exchanged. If the effects no longer look like they should, adjust both to max (as would have been done by the script check).
* Fixed a fire emitter, thetaMax was greater than allowed, producing a warning.
* Fixed bug with MONSTER global still being used in WorldGui.
* Fixed potential exception: UnboundLocalError: local variable 'primaryRangeAdjusted' referenced before assignment.
* Added some more fields to player settings tables - layout update tested and should work.
* Modders: player position can now be accessed via POSITION field of rootInfo on client.
* Moved /coords command to client.
* Moved last party to new settings database. Old last party gets converted.
* Player settings database can now update its layout to new version.
* Invalid channel toggle commands no longer get sent to server.
* The testing server now sets all loot to always drop. This should help make testing quest logic easier. On test build, if the special always drop settings would generate a longer loot list than allowed, items that wouldn't be always drops get changed to something in between always and common drops.
* /imm grantlevel, denymonster, listmonsters, grantmonster, givemonster are now fully case-insensitive.
* /imm kill now kills the target with one hit.
* Added clearfaction and resetfaction to guardian commands. Both are synonymous. Target character and type '/gm clearfaction <faction name>
* Some minor optimizations to world updating.
* Prevented an error that could be thrown when simulation data was refreshed.
* Fixed an issue that was causing items to get out of sync between server and client after a player used the /empty or /sort commands. This was causing problems when players would attempt to quick-sell an item.
* Fixed two more stacking code parts, stacking in bank and stacking by dropping one stack on another in inventory.
* Fixed quick looting with multi-character parties where main character has a full inventory.
* Fixed quick looting so that even if an error occurs, the looted item gets handled properly, removed from loot table.
* Fixed a bug with item life times. Ticking function can now remove the items if life time expires.
* Fixed max enchant stat clamp, old enchanted items would have been compared against a rounded-up value instead of rounded-down.
* Changed bank item handling from a list to a dict, increased safety and far faster processing.
* Fixed deleting of items with wrong slots. Previous code would have tried to remove from wrong list.
* Added code to remove bugged items (duplicates) in bank that appeared with already fixed bank duping bug.
* Fixed various bugs where world update would produce a corrupted database. Mostly related to items. Item owners finally get set correctly which should prevent the same item to appear in multiple item lists (e.g. bank as well as character items, vault as well as character items). Corrected owners should fix various bugs with vanishing, unuseable and duplicate items. Databases with no player monster tables will also no longer get corrupted during update.
* Added spells active on character to backup data. Buffs (and harmful spells with duration) should no longer vanish during a world update.
* Made world update code a bit more readable and safer.
