Minions of Mirth, the venerable Torque made MMORPG, has been updated to version 1.24
Check it out :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Minions of Mirth Patch 1.24 (Spring Edition)
A huge thanks to the following members of the Community Development Group for their help and hard work on this patch: Citrine, Gylan, and Llarlen! Thanks also to the community for helping test the changes.
Added New Dynamic PvE/RvR/GvG/PvP System. Thanks to Llarlen!
+ Players log into the world with PvE (Player versus Environment) set. Players may change to RvR (Realm versus Realm), GvG (Guild versus Guild) and PvP (Player versus Player) on the settings pane of the character window.
+ In general, for hostility to occur the two opponents must have hostility enabled on lowest mutual encounter level. From low to high: PvE, RvR, GvG, PvP. For example, a PvP and GvG flagged player can hit RvR flagged players of opposite realm only, but a PvE flagged player can not be hit by any player.
+ There is no death penalty when getting killed by another player.
+ Added 'PvE on Death' checkbox to settings. When checked, encounter status gets reset to PvE on character death. This setting is persistent and saved per character. Default is enabled.
+ Added 'PvE on Zoning' checkbox to settings. When checked, encounter status gets reset to PvE on zoning. This setting is persistent, enabled by default and saved per character. Note that this setting will not override any blocks to encounter status if present.
+ Attacking, casting, or changing encounter settings disables the ability to change an encounter settings for 2 minutes. Attacking and casting is checked for all alliance members as well as pets.
+ Tracking now gets modified by a mob/player's visibility. Player visibility will only affect tracking if the target is hostile. See invisible can bypass the effect.
+ Healing or buffing another player or player's pet with a higher encounter setting than your encounter setting will overwrite your encounter setting to match the other player's encounter setting.
+ Pets cease attacking if either attacker or defender changes an encounter setting to no longer be hostile.
+ Targeting another player's pet now is possible if the targeter and the pet's master can be hostile towards each other.
+ /eval (or 'g') is now used to determine hostility of another player. The message displays the evaluated target as 'battle ready' if they can be attacked.
+ Removed zone information from /who commands.
+ Static encounter setting is displayed red if block is active.
+ Quick targeting, such as cycling through targets, includes hostile players.
+ Attacking or casting will now increase visibility by 0.5 (not over 1). This does not increase aggro or track range.
+ Combat and defense skills do not raise in PvP battles. (Players and pets)
+ Hostile players have a skull icon associated with their name in 3d view.
+ If selected, friendly players show a smiley instead of a skull. Both smiley and skull are color coded with relative encounter setting. Green = lower, Blue = same, red = higher. Therefore, if a player buffs or heals a 'red' player, (s)he will inherit their target's setting.
+ Track window indicates hostile players by placing the player's name between asterisk (I.e. If a player named Soandso can hurt you, then track will show *Soandso* instead of Soandso). Hostile player names are shown in red as well.
+ The initiator of a PvP fight should now be remembered. Kill penalty only occurs if the initiator was the higher level. This functionality will not preserve across zoning, as after zoning technically a new battle is started.
+ Previously any player in PvP killing a monster player would not get an xp penalty ever. Made the system fairer so now monsters do not get xp penalty in killing other low players either.
+ AoE spells can now be used in PvP battles, previously would only affect target.
Tradeskills
+ Added Blacksmithing tradeskill. Thanks to Citrine!
+ Blacksmithing is now used to make all the items needed for other crafts: rods, tips, sheets, baking trays, etc.
+ All players receive Blacksmithing at level 1, it will eventually cap at level 100 (1000 skill).
+ The current max for Blacksmithing is skill level 100. In future patches, questing will allow you to reach higher skill levels.
+ After reaching a certain skill level in Blacksmithing, you will get more efficient and be able to produce more from the same raw materials. For example, at low levels of Blacksmithing 8 materials produces 5 sheets, at 1000 skill in Blacksmithing you would produce 10 sheets, increasing output as your skill increases.
+ Added new recipes for weapon crafting.
+Updated skill levels for Masterwork Perdurium, Adamantium, and Cobalt shortsword recipes.
Enhancements
+ Added a camp of Reavers to the Eastern Wasteland. Thanks to Citrine! Ingimo drops a couple of the new Wondrous weapons.
+ Added Part II, Part III, and Part IV of the Cooking and Brewing quest to advance in both skills. Talk to the twins in Talrim Hills to continue with Part II. Thanks to Citrine!
+ Added the Padloper monster template quest. Talk to Cooma Blue to get started. Thanks to Citrine!
+ Updated some hand icon textures. Thanks to grom!
+ Vaults are now able to autostack items.
+ Added a 'Character Description' button to the settings pane in party window, triggers /mydesc. To show a target's information, shift-click on target or use the command /desc.
+ Journals are now managed on a per character basis. These new journals will use the existing shared journal as a baseline. Future entries will be added by character.
+ The /craft command has been made case-insensitive.
+ Vendors now repair items they resell.
+ Added an auto-response feature. If a player sends a tell to an away player, the away player will respond with an automated response:
*Use "/away" or "/afk" with no additional words to toggle the feature on/off. If toggled on, a default away message will be provided.
*Use "/away [custom message]" or "/afk [custom message]" to provide a custom response. For example, after using "/afk Walking the dog. (back in 5)" all received tells will be replied with "Away Message: Walking the dog. (back in 5)"
+ Added a getting inspected message if someone else queries target information about your character.
+ Added descriptions to the inhabitants of the Burning Fields.
+ Adjusted the resistances for Xal Thulu and Chaos Beasts. Lowered casting resists on Xal Thulu and Chaos Beasts. Increased Xal Thulu's difficulty modifier.
+ Added a message to let players know that they can add a secondary or tertiary class upon reaching level 5 and 15.
+ When looting Soulbound items, the confirmation window will only appear if a player is in an alliance.
+ When a player levels, power set sound effect should no longer get played and the text is no longer displayed.
+ Added an "Enable Populator Groups" field to Options -> More Options -> Gameplay, which enables populator groups in single player mode. Zoning will take slightly longer if enabled.
+ Item stat descriptions are a bit more informative. Percent modifiers should now display as a percent.
+ Private Vault window now displays how many slots are available.
+ Online friends now appear at the top of the friends list.
+ Double clicking (alt+click) a friend in friends list will bring up /tell friend.
+ Monsters should start with advancement points. Old monsters should be rewarded these points when logging in as well.
+ Clicking the chat window's text entry field now activates chat.
+ A message is now displayed when charges collapse into a single item when autostacking in a character's inventory.
+ Double clicking on a name in the Track Window will attempt to target the mob.
+ Added the ability to cycle through replies. The responder list will remember the last 10 people who sent a tell. Reply Cycle will cycle to an older teller. (Default: ctrl tab) Reply Cycle Reverse will cycle to a newer teller. (Default: ctrl-alt tab) The default keyboard shortcuts may need to be set if you already have custom keyboard settings. These are changeable through the options menu. Keep in mind that some key combinations will not work because chat will recognize the keys as text entry instead of a keyboard shortcut.
+ Big speedup to world loading in single player and for dedicated servers.
+ MANY optimizations, should help a bit in reducing lag.
+ /Ignore and /Unignore now treat "Soandso the Evil" and "Soandso_the_Evil" the same. This should make ignoring a monster character that has space(s) in his/her name easier.
+ Name tags now have the same visibility as their owner.
+ Mobs can now cast party or alliance spells on themselves.
Pet Updates
+ Pets now have their master's name displayed on screen, similar to a player's guild name.
+ Pets now correctly inherit their master's realm.
+ Fixed aggro inheritance from pet to master and master to pet.
+ Pet speed is now inherited from master properly.
+ Added slight randomization to the pet attack message.
+ All pet commands clear the pet's aggro list before assigning new command. Pet should follow orders better this way but still retain some free will.
+ Added a check if target is valid on the /pet attack command.
+ Increased initial aggro on /pet attack so pet reacts less jumpy to multiple opponents. Initial aggro scales with pet's and master's level so higher level pets of higher level masters focus better on their opponent.
+ Fixed a bug in proc refreshes on items equipped by pets.
+ If a pet is too far away from it's master, the pet will stop attacking and warp back to it's master.
+ A player's pet now shows up in the tracking window and on minimap.
Enchanting System Updates
+ Updated max enchanting value calculation. The max values should increase at a smoother rate. In general, the max value on lower level items increased in some areas, and the max value on higher level items decreased in some areas.
+ Max number of attainable raw focii through disenchanting has been raised to 5.
+ Enchanted focii can now be disenchanted into raw focii.
+ Decreased overall max values for some enchantments.
+ Arrows, poisons and other crafted items like arrow tips and shafts can no longer be enchanted. Items that are meant to be enchanted still can.
+ Disenchanting will no longer give more raw focii than the max number of enchantments the item can hold.
+ Stackable items now need to meet default stack (one drop) to be disenchantable.
+ Added statements to indicate that an enchanted item has reached max value. It will state that the enchanted item becomes stable as some energy escapes.
+ Neck items as well as other future craftable items are now enchantable.
+ Added physical resistance and armor to enchantable shoulder pieces.
+ Added all but physical resists to enchantable neck pieces.
+ Updated enchanting encyclopedia pages to reflect the new enchantable items.
+ Fixed baneweapon enchantments.
Encyclopedia Updates
+ Added Encyclopedia linking. Thanks to Llarlen!
+ Many game messages will now provide links to the encyclopedia. Note: This is a work in progress, not all quests or areas have been updated to support linking.
+ Putting an element present in encyclopedia in <and> (for example <Himmorlian>) in the Chat Window will reformat the text into a link. If the page is found in the encyclopedia, the link can then be used from the Chat Window.
+ Clicking on the chat text entry area of the chat window with an item, a spell, or a skill in cursor automatically enters appropriate encyclopedia link into existing chat text.
+ Added an 'Add to Chat' link to pages.
+ Invalid link message displays which page was not found.
+ Updated skills in encyclopedia to show duration in seconds instead of ticks.
+ Added item set, faction, more skill descriptions, and History of Mirth pages.
+ Added exclusion information to spells.
+ Buff Window integrated with encyclopedia links:
* Single left click will open up encyclopedia page with spell info.
* Single right click will create an encyclopedia link in chat.
+ For spells in spellbook, skill buttons, and inventory items:
* Shift-single-click opens encyclopedia to the appropriate page.
* Shift-right-click enters a name in chat enclosed by <>. An encyclopedia link will appear when sending.
+ Spawn pages now state if a spawn does not leave a corpse when it dies. "Note: This spawn does not leave a corpse!" should appear in the loot section.
+ Completed item crafting lists with missing elements. (Cooking, Brewing)
Game Commands
+ /empty - Removes items from craft window slots to character inventory slots. (15 second cooldown)
+ /stack - Stacks items in a character's inventory. (15 second cooldown)
+ /sort - Sorts items within a character's inventory.(15 second cooldown) Possible Options: alpha = Sorts items in alphabetical order(default). stack = Reduces item stacks (default). nostack = Sort stacks in alphabetical order, but does not reduce stacks. reverse = Sort items in reverse alphabetical order. all = Sorts all inventory pages (default). page1 = Only sorts items on first inventory page. page2 = Onlys sort items on second inventory page.
+ /assist will attempt to assist the current target.
+ Added target information window! Activate by shift-double clicking target or targeting and using the /desc command. A player's own description is available through /mydesc.
+ Add /agree and /disagree emotes. These are equivalent to /yes and /no.
+ /interact with player as a target now triggers trading, even when hostile.
+ Added a /clear command that clears the chat window.
+ Added an option for the chat window to open upon receiving a tell. This can be toggled on/off through the Options -> Gameplay window. The default behavior is to not open chat upon receiving a tell.
+ Crafting window now supports:
* Ctrl-double-click to use items. * Shift-double-click to quick sell. * Alt-double-click to quick equip.
+ Added a command to send a message to your game window. You can use it by typing "//[text]" or "/memo [text]". Players may find this useful to add text reminders for short-term buffs/macros. The "//[text]" format also allows for players to set a macro line to be 'unused' instead of deleting the line completely. For example, "/skill Feign Death" will attempt to activate the feign death skill, but "//skill Feign Death" will print "Memo: skill Feign Death" to the game window instead of using the skill.
+ Added a /resize command. This command may be used once every two minutes. It will toggle the size of a player's avatar to either the standard human size or the actual character's size. Players using large monster templates may find this quite useful in small areas or when attempting to interact with players and NPCs.
+ Emotes now support default and custom messages:
* "/point" will display "Soandso points ahead." with no target, and "Soandso points at a Frail Skeleton." when a Frail Skeleton is targeted.
* "/point points into the distance." will display "Soandso points into the distance."
+ Character names in chat now work as invisible links for tells.
Macro Commands
+ Added filters to macro command lines.
%t target name,
%g target gender,
%p possessive pronoun,
%s subjective pronoun,
%o objective pronoun,
%r race
For example, if you have a macro with the following text: /a Oy, %t is coming this way. Prepare for battle!.
When pulling a monster for the alliance, if you target 'a Frail Skeleton' and activate macro, alliance chat would say: Soandso tells the alliance, 'Oy, a Frail Skeleton is coming this way. Prepare for battle!'
