For the love of Table top gaming
Hi, after well over a year of lurking I have decided to jump in and say hello. I had something very long to say but I decided there was a whole lot more .plans to be written and I could save it for them. So let me just say how happy I am to be a part of this great community. I believe in indie games and in the underground game movement that is just starting to build. After 7 + years professionally I want to be a part of a community that has a passion to create games they love and want to play. (Not just what marketing thinks will sell.) I have loved miniature gaming for most of my adult life. ( I did not discover the hobby til I was 18) I brought that same love and passion to the games I worked on professionally. The two that stand out the most are Chaos Gate (Kudos and bless you if you remember), War of the Ring, and the soon to be released Dragonshard. I love the scale and look of RTS games above all others. I was joyous to see the RTS pack for Torque. I immediately contacted Josh and said let me make some content!
I am happy to say I am putting finishing polish on the 1st of four Environment Content packs. These Packs are geared mainly towards RTS games in both look and style. But I am including a set that allows them to be viewable from eye level and worms eye. Not just the standard Birds eye view.
The packs will include trees, bushes, rocks, grass, special foliage, and new terrain sets.
I am now at the hardest climb of the journey. Polishing, testing, and shipping the 1st pack. Those who have shipped know what I mean. I am dedicated to bringing the Torque developers a high quality product that will hold its own visually with retail games. I look forward to working with all of you in the future. Let's make some games!
It seems like everyone enjoys pics so here is one for ya. A tree from the Woodland Environment Pack.
