First Please ignore my previous plan about Portals.
Just goes to show what boredom and pain meds can make you do.
I realize now after a closer look, and a clear head, why the water block code is so good at reflections.
If I follow it right the code is a render to texture type arrangement with but without adding anything more to the scenegraph than what was present from the camera's viewpoint.
If I am wrong about that it just goes to show how little I understand the waterblock.
Anyway like I said before the portal type Projection, my game simple doesn't need it.
I may pickup the portal code later. Right now I am back on track with DayOfWar.
Vehicle Combat Prototype.
What you see is the LCAT , Landing Craft trans-Atmospheric Transport.
It is a Corvette class vehicle with limited armaments , mainly 3 light rail cannons.
Is heavily armored but slow.
For scale purposes it can carry 8 "Buggy" sized craft or about 20 troops or a combination of the two.
Still working on the placement of the top turret. It may seem logical to place it on the bottom to target enemy while landing but once you land the LCAT the bottom turret becomes all but useless as the LCAT is intended to be a forward command post. While on the ground the 3 turrets provides a 360 X 180 degree arc of protection.
The other LCATs in the video are have no AI but there turrets AI is turned on.
The tree turrets an the LCAT I am piloting are AI as well but can be controlled by another player.
Before you ask yes they are based off of the turrets by Paul Dana.
Still working on the LCAT model. It will have landing gear to allow landing on the surface.
There is a main hanger door for boarding as well. Still need to flesh out the inside with pilots seats and the three turret control stations.

But yes multiple planets moons and asteroids will be able to be landed on in the same mission.
