Darkwind - War on Wheels -- progress has been continuing at a good pace, and we've seen the introduction of weapons, AI drivers, and a tiered league system in the last month or so.

We now have 6 leagues running, each with a scheduled race or combat at a fixed time each week, with 3 or 4 grid-qualifying events to choose from. There are also randomised one-off race events running on most days, as tasters for new players or a way to earn some extra cash for established players.

Darkwind is a turn-based persistent online RPG with many original gameplay elements... we're currently in open alpha so feel free to drop in!

Sam,

Great screens. And I love the tagline. War on Wheels. Excellent. Just a hint of reference to that other WoW. :)

Good job guys, I am more of a racing simulation fan but I defiantely like the idea of the game. Mix of Powerslide (excellent PA racer) and Motor City Online but turn based :)

Thanks guys..

Tim, you might recognise some of the buildings and miscellaneous 3D trimmings.. your hitching post and washing line from content pack #1 make good start/finish posts ;-)

Just in case you check here, Craig:

This email address doesn't seem to work. I'm getting errors when my server tries to send you your sign-up details. I've even tried re-sending the emails from my personal email account but that's not working either, so it looks like a problem at your end...?
