Howdy,

In the near future the first issue of Game Artist Illustrated Magazine will ship as both online PDF (download version full color) and CafePress booklet (color cover, b/w illustrations). The price is not set as of yet but we decided to make it available for under 10 USD in either case.

Just a little cover art for now : (the actual cover art is underway)

This first issue will feature a lot of articles about concept art with illustrations from Illumina Project.

Regards,

Apparatus

More info real soon on advertising pages and everything. The goal is to release this free very soon after first issue.

Contributors may very well be anyone here at GG.

For the first issue (heavy in images) there will be around 60 pages.

Pretty slick cover... can't wait for the rest!

Will the PDF version have color interior illustrations?

If so, I'd rather go with the PDF. This looks really cool, though. Hope it pans out!

yes, the PDF is fully colored and in 2 versions - Web preview (72 dpi) and High Res. (300 dpi) for print. Hope I will have enough time to create a full res A3 poster art like in the first issue (woops, couldn't hold it).

Fy, just an update for the printed version design. The actual content is close to the cover listing, but will also feature some interesting (I hope) notes on Constructor.

I believe I will soon open the advertising bids for all people interested to spread the word (and their works) a bit more.

There is no charge for this, but I retain the right to publish only relevant works. The magazine will cost just as much to cover the website expenses and the little time invested.

I hope Matt Summers answers in time so we can cover the XSI exporter in the first issue.

Issue #1 Cover features a concept version of one of the vehicles from (featured here too) Illumina Project.

It really depends on some of the contributors and my time only for monthly subscriptions. but i will release paperback (and CD) versions on CafePress that's sure.
