We're scrambling to finish the next patch for Ruin (our MMO).
Last night I got to watch hundreds of bots battle it out via melee while I watched from the safety of a hill.
It's pretty amazing to watch the 7 different factions at war (some are enemies, some are allies).
Now, to tie the spawners and NPCs to the database... :)
Here is a link to some screenshots on our forums.
Our next patch release date is March 1st and may run a couple of days late.
However, if the update is late we will still turn the zones back on and open up client downloads so that anyone interested can get going before the patch is released.

@Tim
Sorry, no pre-nerf, unlimited use, mind fire, "newb-b-good" Nightsister Lances here.
But then again, there is no "TEF" either. >:)
It's more of "perma-TEF" including friendly fire.
The only thing that Tat' and Shanty Town (*cough* Barter *cough) is that PVP and faction war is a way of life.

Lots of work with your project, congraduations! Cool to see AI actually fighting each other, thats exciting too.

The BIG problem I have is trying to find out WHAT this game is about. From the pics, I had to guess what its going to be which seems like some kind of MMO war-torn world, with guns, melee weapons, and vehicles. But why should I have to guess??? So, as a browser to your site, I was annoyed. I shouldnt have to dig to find out whats going on, it should be right there. If your going to spend all this time making flash intros, then you had the time to get some BASIC game info up instead! Your navigation menu should lead to info about the game. Story - Nope. Features - nope. Screenshots - great! About BrokeAss - Nope. They say that when you give your resume to someone to look at for a job, you have about 1 minute to show them why to hire you, before they move on! Consider your website the same. Personally, I understand your position and am patient to those just starting and have placeholders here and there, but others wont be.

Dont take this the wrong way. I hope to read about what your game is in the future. Good luck,
John

VERY good point, want to be a webmaster? (j/k) :P
Our team is short a webmaster, and a few other positions.
For the time being, check our forums and request tester access (filling out an online NDA on the website is required).
The storyline, faction war and many other subjects are posted on our forums (registering is not enough, be sure to get test access).
Over the next couple of days we will be trying to flesh out some of the info on the site.
However, be aware that the site will always be somewhat limited and most info will be in the forums.
We have a couple of unique gameplay features that we wish to keep under NDA until we are ready for the for truely public testing.
Our server farm is somewhat limited and we have a large tester group (50-60 people) so get in soon if you are interested.
Tonight Jon, Moe and myself are preparing the next patch release.
I hope to see you online in Ruin very soon. :)

Thanks for the offer, but I have no connection to the internet from home. :( Sorry, I was a little ruff with you. I guess most others developing out there dont want to say what exactly they are doing either. Maybe you can just write a paragraph about what makes you so passionate to make the game your making. What type of experiences you hope to give to the players, with a few tidbits/crumbs of info to entice newcomers about the game. ;]

It's all good, you have a very valid point.
One of our members is always talking about "selling the dream" and that's very important to a game like Ruin or any RPG.
I feel we have an important story to tell.
There is a ton of stuff I would like publish and I'll try to get to it sooner than later.
I'm finishing a couple of more features on the spawners and then the patch will go live.
The Crater zone is back online.
Originial client and patches are available for download again.
