1) There is a new publishing information landing page. Please see it if you are interested in publishing with us:

http://www.garagegames.com/solutions/publishing/

- Now contains GGE, our self-publishing solution. Be excited about this -- you can now directly promote your game to an audience!

- Contains updated game publishing info. As always, we pay one of the highest royalties in the industry at 50%. Be excited about this -- we're indie friendly and our royalties rock!

- Contains brand-new info page on tool and content pack publishing. Scant info for now, but submissions of that nature should go to Tim Aste. We want tools and content packs. Be excited about this -- we want more than just games!

- Slightly updated Affiliated Developer program info. AD's are developers we work closely with to co-produce games. An example of this is Mini Golf Mania. We were and still are on the lookout for AD's. Be excited about this -- for promising developers, we can help make your game happen!

2) If you submitted a game in the last 3 months, we likely didn't get it. There was a server problem that we now have resolved. Please resubmit to joshd@garagegames.com. We apologize for the problem.

3) A bunch of Torque games have just been published -- many of them debuting here -- and a whole ton more are coming in the next few weeks. Surprising, original, exciting games. As a player we've got cool stuff to show, and as a developer this should signal to you that we're ramping up games. Be excited about this -- there is a world of opportunity for great games to get published!

4) A note about game submissions. Submit everything and anything! My previous blog called out some trend observations and created a small controversy born out of misunderstanding what I was saying. We will publish FUN and ORIGINAL games. We don't care what genre. That has always been the case and it's no different now. Common sense should tell you that if you make a game that there's already a lot of out there -- a straight arkanoid clone, FPS clone, Tetris clone -- that there's gotta be something special about your game to really bring it to the table. That doesn't mean polish and production quality, but it could; it could also just as easily mean something original and innovative. We have a FPS game in our game store, and it's an educational math game. We have a Tycoon game in our game store, but it's an ecosystem simulator. You don't need AAA values, you do need something fun and/or original. Regardless, whatever your game, send it in, we'd want to see it!

There are a TON of things to be excited about. GG is making investments in the community on every front. Many are stepping up and quietly taking advantage of these opportunities. They are not missing out on the fun and excitement. We don't want you to miss out either. Don't get distracted by details. In the big picture, there is a world of opportunity here, it is growing and this is just the start.
