More weapons! SQLite user persistence, and a much nicer Testing Town!
I've made some good progress since my last .plan. For starters, here's some pics of the new weapon models I added!

As to the codebase, 1.4 came and landed in my greedy little hands, so I quickly converted everything over to the new engine. I must say it's a much nicer environment to work in. The mission editor has never looked better and the whole shebang is just much smoother in general. In the past two days I just implemented a loadout/team/race selection dialog and SQLite user persistance! You just throw your username and password into your player options, and the server will remember you when you select your loadout. It will be a matter of time before I have it saving player scores. Then I'll add a top-ten list. This is all based on each server (somewhat like Freelancer's multiplayer) and requires no intervention by the admin to get working.

It's coming together now. =)

Looks great. The server persistance sounds cool.

Do you have a game website ? interested in finding out more about your game

I could certainly put up a website if you know of any free web hosts that allow shell logins and PHP/MYSQL =)

The game is a tactical/action FPS game set in a sci-fi/fantasy universe very much like the Shadowrun universe of pen-and-paper RPG fame. The game is called 'Shadows' and is my first serious game project. Read: First serious game project that isn't likely to die from being too large for me to complete on my own =)

My goal is to get the gameplay to feel something like a cross between counterstrike and battlefield 1942 set in a gritty cyberpunk metropolis.

I like the G36.

The G36, FAMAS, and AK47 are all from this free weapon pack on TurboSquid.com:

The HK MSG90 Sniper Rifle is from here:

I had to modify all the textures to make them square, for Torque, that's why my skins don't look as nice as the ones from the weapon pack =) I'm not much of an artist.
