Free(ish) Medieval Content pack
Medieval Content Pack
This content pack is full of tudor/medieval styled buildings for use in the Torque Game Engine. If your making a fantasy based game then this pack is ideal for prototyping levels and layout. The textures are semi-photorealistic and do not include bump maps at present.
There are a few more houses and bits and bobs that are not included in the screenshots below a few small houses, fence and gate pieces, side sheds etc. Some of the models have not been finished and are not textured, Just use them for backdrops in your demos.
The zip only contains the difs, just to drop in the mission editor. I'm preparing the texture pack which will include all the .qrk, map files for about $20.00 if peeps are interested.

Get them at my new site, which is empty at the mo but I only just got it up, They'll be more stuff, tutorials and my philosopical musings shortly. www.fruitbatinshades.com

Looks great! I've been wondering how it's been coming along.

I did some early testing for his buildings, and let me tell you he works very hard on them and the detail is incredible top knotch and this was well over 6 months ago. Keep up the good work and give cartography shop a whirl, interface is much easier than quark however the texturing in version 4 is a bit tough but I heard 5 has major improvements.

Looking Good Fruit, glad to see you back to plugging away at this :-)

It's a shame that they can't be used for commercial purposes though. If you're going to give them away then you should give them away. If you end up making a content pack someday I'll probably buy it but until then I can't touch these.

They look pretty nice though.

I'm always up for leaning new things from content packs. Let us know when the .map versions are for sale!

@OneST8: The texture pack will include the models. There are a few problems with them so I am not confident that they can be used reliably.
The texture pack is done, just gotta upload it. I'm away this weekend but I'll get it up next week.

I just discovered this resource! FruitBatInShades, this is very nice work. Are these free to use in our games?

**EDIT: Not to sound greedy... I'd gladly pay $20 for these if they were finished...

Hi Midhir, you can use the models in your prototyping but not sell a game with these models in. The texture pack is available including all the models for $20 from here

Hi, the structures look great. I've been having a lot of fun with them. But, have you had or heard of any problems with the files working with cartography shop. We just got the new pipeline for cartography shop and have started trying out the .map importer. But after I import the files, I'm not able to scale the textures in cartography shop. I can change the numbers but the scales are not reflected on the actual surfaces. I'm not sure where the problem is occuring. I just wanted to see if you've heard anything else about this happening.

@Amanda: where did you get the map files from? They're not in the demo pack!

Sorry, my bad. I got your Midievil Content Pack confused with the Old World Content Pack. :\ Oops. Someone else bought it so I though this was it. But, we did get your texture pack which is very nice. The amount of detail is awesome. We're trying to use the two together, so I think I may have to use QuArK instead of CS.
