News
Last week, we released our first milestone to our team members in order to test the core features of Pelorea: Tactical War. This first milestone was aimed to put in place the different core classes before starting next milestone which will be aimed at implementation of game rules.

You can see on Youtube a short tech-video of some features put in place inside this first release (game engine is TGEA). Have in mind that this does not show current game rules, and all models / arts are placeholder mainly. (concerning the YouTube video, it is best to watch it in reduced size, video was shot in 400 x 300).

Next steps
Tests and comments from this release is expected from our team. In the meantime, Thierry and I will focus on documentation (updates, new topics to cover...) in order to prepare the next milestone that should start end of this month.

Call for help
We are still looking for 2D & 3D artists in order to help us for the creation of the many art assets that will be needed for Pelorea. Feel free to send me an email or post a message here or on our BBS at bbs.indie-zone.com. If you do not get answers from an email you sent to me, please leave a message on our BBS, it may be due to my anti-spam tool.

[Disclaimer] Concerning the card 2D art, it is just a placeholder and current art is based on a commercial table-top game (so no credits from our team).

OMG! This is technical brilliance! Nice work. Can you tell me what you did to include the A* path finding? I could really use that in my game.

This is really awesome Frank!

Its a total blast to see what the teams are brewing, and that vid sure sets a nice standard for displaying what such a team have in the bag. Really nifty job there, and a clean handfull from me for this good one!

man you did an impressive work with the RTS kit...

Frank Bignone   (Sep 19, 2007 at 14:36 GMT)
@Novack: thanks, RTS Kit is a good resource and porting some of its features to TGEA was quite easy. Currently, I'm using only the RTS camera resource (linked with the mouse movement too). Other things unit, map, path and so on are new classes.
