Blog post
Note: This is a teaser/placeholder blog that will be edited as soon as I can get a bit more time to focus fully on writing it out, but I wanted to drop some quick notes to the community.
As some may have noted from my previous blogs, I became a full time employee of GarageGames in June to head up the Torque Education and Commercial Support divisions. Both of these are extremely exciting and new areas for GarageGames, and the entire GarageGames team has been contributing to the programs to provide the best training and commercial support we can to our customers. Our overall plan is to address many of the concerns and requirements of all segements of the Torque Community, from the Indie/Hobbiest all the way through the AAA commercial studios with quality services that meet your needs. Just this week we've completed our inaugural Torque Boot Camp--Commercial segment, and are extremely excited about both the success of the class, and the lessons learned for future courses!
Torque Boot Camp--Commercial, 18-20 July 2005
Monday through Wednesday of this week we held our first Commercial segment Boot Camp with 2 of our commercial clients, one in the AAA Game Development market, and one in the "Serious Games" market. Initial reports from both teams were extremely positive, and we've received some amazingly on point and informative feedback about how to make the course even better not only for future commercial classes, but for our Independent and Academic segments as well. I will be fleshing this blog out over the next two days with some specifics about the class, and how we will leverage this feedback and our own lessons learned into future course offerings.
Torque Boot Camp--Indie, 10-12 October, 2005
Our first TBC for the Independent Developer segment will be held immediately following IGC 2005 in Eugene, Oregon. We do not yet have final pricing for this course, but if you have serious interest in attending, please feel free to contact me directly at my public email (stephenz at garagegamesdotyouknowwhat, or you can look in my profile). Attendance will be limited, so plan early if you feel the course will be appropriate for you or your team!
Future Offerings
As I mentioned above, we have a very aggressive plan for additional seminars in the future, and finalizing our scheduling for the next 6 months very shortly. We are also working on finishing up the Torque Boot Camp web pages, and I will be announcing when they become available here in a future blog.
I apologize for the scantiness of information in this first placeholder blog, but much more information will be coming very shortly!

Indie boot camp starting on the 10th. Don't want to take a breath between the IGC and TBC?
Of course, what better time as the crowd would already be there.
Looking forward to more info.
Will there be multiple boot camps throughout the year and will they be of different subjects?
Glad to see a whole bunch of different products & services coming from GG.
Signs of a great company and a great future.
