iNterstices is a multiplayer puzzle game currently in development by Say Uncle studios, using the Torque Shader Engine

Hey guys,

iNterstices is a project our (small) team has been working on for about a year now. Its not really mature enough to warrant a Development Snapshot of the Day, so I thought I'd go ahead an post my first .plan..

The proposed gameplay is kind of a multiplayer TombRaider meets Myst type. Your basic button pushing, lever pulling, riddle solver. The element that will set us apart is the "teamwork" aspect required for riddles/quests. The first chapter "Lockwood", is an introduction to the back story, and serves as a hub of sorts, for the later chapters.. an excerpt from the story doc goes something like "..solve the mysteries that peel away the truth and unlock the gateway that Lockwood has kept secret for so long.."

Current team members include :
Myself
Erik Madison
Keith Powell (a tranditional artist/concept/writer)
Andrew "Slomo92" (our lone modeler/texturer).

Erik has done a ton of work extending TSE's interior code (but ill let him post a about that)

I'd like to take a minute to thank community member FruitBatInShades for helping us out on some CSG.

I'd like to give out a shout to John Kabus for his ULTIMATE addition... the "TLK" If you were at this year's IGC, you saw John's enhanced versions of the following scenes in his TLK for TSE Tech Demo. I unfortunately was not.. :( oh well maybe next year..

John helped our team out when I was in the midst of my preperations for hari-kari over problems i was having, detailed on this thread. His help allowed us move more toward developing our gameplay, and solidifying our art pipeline.

We are looking to expand our team a little, so if your a texture artist we NEED you.. the devsite is at devzone.intersticesthegame.com

So, without further adu, the screenshots.

Very nice artwork. Is that hazy red room supposed to be _that_ hazy? Or is that some kind of forcefield the camera is looking through?

Excellent work guys, really like the art style :-)

@Midhir: Looks like the camera is sat in front of one of those orange light sources, and quite possibly looking through a force field too :-)

EDIT: In the last screen shot, is the drawing on the wall a real concept drawing? Nice touch...

Hey Kevin, looks awesome! The demo went over very well at IGC, I'll post a plan shortly with details.

Wish you guys could have made it, but I certainly understand,
