I've been playing around with the anims for Claude and have a pretty nice "forward" going. I know the gun pos looks a little goofy, swinging around, but it's better than the original (*poke*Joseph*poke*).

If you have Claude v0.4, you can use the DSQ in place of the exported "Forward.dsq" (the bone structure hasn't changed, but I may change the Forward before actually letting the 0.5 out; something about the "eye" pos bugs me...).

Run cycle is looking good! When I get some free time one of these years I've got to start playing with Blender.

Hey, nice! Claude is really comming along now. Great work on the new run animation, I still haven't produced anything that looks nearly that good yet.

Looking good, Scott. Glad to see this project coming along.

The timing for the run is dead on, the weight looks realistic. If you want a crit - look at the ankle rotation, it stays "extended" (in anatomy terms) for too long. It should only extend to push off the ground and then relax.

Thanks, Jeff. I know the ankle isn't quite right. If you had the .blend for it, you'd also notice the ankle's Normal Y axis is a bit off, as well.

I'm satisfied with the mesh and armature, so I'll be puttering about with the anims for a while, so any C&C's are welcome, especially since I don't really have any experience in that area.

I have some videos of people doing various activities (from 3D.sk) and I'll be looking to incorporate some of those into Claude.

Also, I really want to make some different heads, so I'll probably come out with those once the base set of anims is complete (along with a tutorial on how to replace it).

Hey, did you get the IK legs working or did you animate this with FK?

Scott Coursey   (Sep 02, 2005 at 19:22 GMT)
This is all done with FK. I didn't feel like messing with IK. Maybe when I've had more sleep...
