I started writing the AI code for my game yesterday. I've been planning it for months now, along with other aspects of the game.

I have the AI broken down into eight managers that perform specific tasks: movement, attacking, defense, strategy, etc.

All the intricacies are making my head hurt. Time for a break. I'll get some more written tomorrow.

I'm off to play Quake 4. It's either that or dishes...

Got any notes to share? What kind of game are you writing?

I like Q4 too I think its one of the best games you ever play
I played mathew Kane day and night. Porbably it took me a week at the first atempt and later after several attemps I can finish it in 4 days including a bit of sleep and food :D

maybe you are playing it multiplayer.

@Scott

I'll ask if I can share my work. Personally, I'd be happy to share.

@Anton: If it's not a strategy game, don't sweat it. I don't want someone on your team (or company or "higher up") to think you're giving away your work. I'd hate for you to get in trouble some time down the line.

@Saurabh: I'd love to play it MP... I'm on a Mac and, unfortunately, I think the MP connection code is all borked up when connecting to Windows servers. No biggie, really. I'll save up my MP time for when I'm done with my game...

Yep, AI can do that. Nothing like unwinding with a session of brainless shoot em' ups (I'm a UT man personally). Dishes works too mind ;)
