It could be after an apocalypse in a fantasy world.

Post-apocalyptic doesn't always mean rusty cars, leather jackets, green mohawks and hockey masks - though it should :D

All kidding aside, you've got something interesting going on here. Doesn't look like a Torque engine though.

I love the artwork! Very simple, but unique. Not *quite* chibi-anime style.
