Here's a screenshot of dragon beast in making.
It has no wings but I may add them later, what I'd like now is to have a full dragon like creature.

So here are 2 screenshots, bare in mind it's work in progress ;)

Looks good even without wings.
I really like the proportions on the torso arms and legs.

The head looks more like a vegetarian dinosaur then a dragon. Maybe its just the camera angle but it seems like it has a "please dont eat me" look.

I agree with Mr. Bampton. The head should be more dragon-y. I'd add some spikes!

It's not the camera angle but as I mentioned "bare in mind it's work in progress"...

Wow, I've been working on a dragon recently as well, but it's not that detailed. It looks like you managed to get all of the muscles looking correct too. I had trouble with that as well, so I based mine off a horse anatomy book. Keeping in mind that it's still a work in progress, I only see two things on that model I would change. Firstly, up close to the shoulder on the front legs, you have some very thin, small polygons which you could probably remove without suffering any loss of shape. Secondly, the neck doesn't seem to be quite as detailed as the rest of the model, and makes it look sort of odd. Other than that, this looks awesome!

Not that mine can compete with this, but here is a few pics of my low-poly winged dragon:

Looking good!
It could do with some ears I think... And some more prominant nostrils...
Still, it beats any creature I can make.

Dude you forgot the wings- Oh you said that already. Nice low poly model! One thing- the front legs have a twist going on and that may be more difficult for you to texture.

Hi

Well I don't plan to texture it, that will be up to someone else, I preferr the modeling and leave the texturing to texturing pros :)

Good start on the dragon Justin but I hope you don't stop there, you know you can improve that dragon and give him more of a presence and character and make him stand out :)

Reason my dragon looks interesting and has good body proportions is that I spent time on it, going after my own desire how a "cool" dragon should look. Remeber also that I'm not done working on thisone yet so it is not complete dragon yet :)

Go for it, it looks good , there is no limits for how a dragon should look , all dragons made or described before comes from the fantasy . so make a new dragon that not looks like all others.
Its only up to you Nermin.
All have they're own pic of how a dragon should look in they're mind , so it cant be should look more like this or look like that.

Don't call it Dragon , call it Stragon or Mingon or what ever :)
I really wonder where the fantasy have gone sometimes , all make dragons , do something new and you will be remembered in eternity.

But a really nice model for a Dragon !!

Thanks Billy, I'll take your words of advice, you may see what you have asked for :)

I think what you have here is a spendid base model for not only dragons but for a varity of monsters/dinos. Leave it as it is and you have a omnivorous dino which pose no threat, add spikes and more aggresive eyes and you have a carnivorous which does pose a threat.

Nermin Maximo   (May 28, 2006 at 22:14 GMT)
Well Martin Hansen, you are reading my mind :)

That is just what I want to make with this, a base model that can be turned into any fantasy/real world 4 leged creature :)

Right now it's has dragon like body proportions, but with base model like this I can wip it up into any form I find it needs for it to transform to creature that I'd like to build...

I'll keep you GG folks updated on this as it develops :)

I think it looks goood... It needs some ears to lose the Dino look... I'm sure texturing will also help there... The body looks great!

Unsung Zero   (Jun 07, 2006 at 17:03 GMT)
Very nice. I can see this turning out very nicely.
