GarageGames at E3

GarageGames wil have several representatives at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on May 9th to 12th.

We are always looking to see what our community members and partners are up to, so if you have a cool game, piece of tech, or anything you'd love to show off, we want to see it! We are scheduling our week now, so if you would like to schedule some show-off time or a meeting for anything really, please email me at tima@garagegames.com

Minna Mingle

GarageGames will be sponsoring another Minna Mingle, this time at E3 in Los Angeles. We highly encourage this event for indies to meet and greet. It's a wonderful way to come out and see what other indies are doing in the casual game space, as well as make great industry contracts. More information on the Minna Mingle @ E3 can be found here:

http://mingle.minnamedia.com/

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Last Minute Internships opening up

GarageGames is now actively seeking some last minute internships for the Summer, last minute spots have opened up.

We are seeking highly motivated, qualified canidates who are familiar with our tech and company.

We are seeking canidates who are interested in interning in the following areas:

  1. Web Programming
  2. Marketing
  3. Production
  4. QA Testing

These are last minute internships which opened up due to cancellations, all existing applications have been buried, so please send any questions or inquiries, resumes or portfolios to specifically tima@garagegames.com We only have two positions open. Can't wait to see who is interested!

All candidates MUST have resumes.
Preference given to those who demonstrate a strong portfolio of finished projects.

Legions Community Project

I'm keeping my ear to the ground to anyone who might be interested in contributing the Legions Project in any form. Serious applicants only of course, but if you have any desire to know more about this before the rest and can really bring something to the show, please drop me a line at tima@garagegames.com

Since every .plan is boring without pictures, here is some art by the Fabulous Pascal Bos & Eric Elwell to spice things up:

If you happened to miss the movies from the last plan on what preview stuff was shown at GDC, check out these YouTube links:

Lastly, on a development side, GG is starting up several new very cool projects while continuing to kick butt on existing ones. Development on Legions as a tech demo is still going strong, hopefully with some new media to be released in the next month. It's an exciting time to work for GarageGames! :-D

Would love to make it to E3 this year, and its so close to me, but I can't swing the cost right now. I'll look forward to seeing everyone at IGC with any luck.

You don't have to be living near them to start with, but you do have to relocate near their offices to work at the GG offices for the internship. They give you a free place to live when you're there though m'pretty sure.

Very exciting news. I'm trying to figure out how to get closer to the action ;) If the artists I'm working with were further along I'd love to show Oust ... sadly it's not that time yet.

@Paul: I got a wife and child and I am the main bread winner. Don't think my family could live off of internship :) One of these days GG one of these days.... Some how some way I will make there :)

@Paul - Yea, all interns are housed in the 'intern house'. It's a pretty cool place, plus you get to room with Eric Elwell and I, which is an added bonus in and of itself :)

A hopeful fool is a fool indeed.
Prove me wrong!

So this Mingle thing is open to pretty much everyone? If so, I can think of a few people who might be able to make the trip up from San Diego.
