Too much Comdex:Vancouver, and misc update and info for the Toruqe community.
Just thought I would give a quick update before I have to return to the Comdex:Vancouver show.
I am on the second draft of the UVW&Texture creation tutorial for 3DS Max, hopefully this tutorial will be out there for everyone to look at in a few weeks. The big task for me right now is grabbing the screenshots for the sample file.
The 3DS Max FAQ that is hosted here on GG will be updated as soon as I get back as well (in case anyone was wondering when new updates were going to be dropped into it).
My "box trick" maxscript should be uploaded this weekend to my personal website, a few people have expressed interest in this script and since I have fixed pretty much all that needs to be fixed, I have no excuse for not releasing it.
For those of you who are intersted in Phil's awesome Captain Zap project. Work goes good on it, Phil has a small deathmatch demo going for it and the work that I am doing on Zap should be done next week.
As for the Torque Modeling Project, when I get back home I really want to push for this resource for the artists, we need this and anyone who is interested in helping to develop some standards that we can all work from should probably get in contact with myself, Pascal, or Joe if you are intersted.
