What do bored programmers do when they can't sleep?
Well some of us decide to write a Map parser for Zap from the TNL package. Since there is really only one map for Zap right at the moment, that's all the Map parser reads.

So without further rambling (since it is 4:30 am and I need to go to sleep)

The parser is written in PHP and uses the GD library

EDIT:
The parser still doesn't display everything, since I'm finally sleepy I'll finish it later :)

Funny thing, last night I wrote a commander map into Zap. Great minds think alike. ;)

Nice job on the script, btw. Output looks good.

Actually it started out as me figureing out how to display the map, with the intent of possibly working on a Map editor. After spending a few hours kicking SDL for not having a simple "drawLine" function I said forget it and did it in GD / PHP as a prototype environment.

A map editor, eh? You should talk to Robert Blanchet about that... I think he might be working on one, too. ;)

LoL then I will defer to his wisdom (since I didn't make any headway anyhow :)

Although I think I might continue with the map parser, might be a nice touch later to have the Zap server send a tickler to a webserver to show what map is playing :)
