Blog post
Well now, it's been a while since I made a change to my .plan

Below is a list of things I SHOULD be working on

* Website torque.feylab.com
* Particle Editor Fixes
* IRC Client
* Torque IDE (remix)
* TGE Stripped

Particle Editor Fixes
OK this should technically be done, I just need to get some people to test it out, been sitting on my system for a couple months now.

IRC Client
Low priority at the moment, ok it's been low priority for 2 years. sue me.

Torque IDE (remix)
This is my variation of the TorqueIDE written in script that was started by Davis Ray Sickmon, Jr. I've gone for a more integrated look (ok I basically ripped the VC++ 6.0 look) then the origional that DRS had, I also chopped out a lot of the dynamic GUI code in favor of static .gui files.

TGE Stripped
This was a tutorial I started back in October but never posted, and with the MinApp releases I thought I'd get back to it. Basically it is going to center around taking the TGE .exe file and building all the scripts by hand. This means no re-using files from the example folder other then as a view of how things can be done.

There are a few other items but can't remember them at the moment.

Hey Labby, I can try out the particle editor.

I think I had tried to send it to you in November... guess Yahoo didn't like my E-Mail.

I just posted the ParticleEditor changes to my site.

Hey...nice job. Works much better now.

There still seems to be the problem of hitting the button and having it put in the mission--and furthur about saving them (always says no datablock available).

Things that'd be cool w/the editor: Adding access to the animated particles and changing the particle editor to look/act more like the GUI and level editors (side bars).

Really, the editor should have access to explosions, but that would be just getting out of hand on the extra work part. ;-)

Want me to update the current resource? Or would you rather put in a new one?

OOps. As Lab later pointed out, not all of the emitters cycle--that's why I thought some weren't working in-game.

There is a button to make them cycle, though.

I'd be willing to bet that the TGE stripped tutorial will be a major benefit to noobs like myself who are just getting into the scripting code and I suspect it will also spur development of a wider variety of genres other than fps. Good idea and good work.

Hey Harold, I'm going to side with Trent here and say that the TGE stipped is a great idea. I always find it easier to build up rather than build down myself, so I'll be sure to take a look at what you come up with. Let me know if you want someone to bounce ideas off of.
