Wow... time flies

It's been over a year since my last blog post.. and almost a year since I've done much of anything with Torque :/

I really think I need to get back into it.. but some things just never work out in regards to having the time and the motivation to work on it at the same time.

In the mean time I've been occupying time in Second Life... and I've found it interesting... some of the things they allow would be nice to see in Torque. Customizeable mesh, animations and clothing are one of their big selling points... as well as the ability to build and script pretty much anything in-game.

Yea the mesh is an issue. To be able to hot swap the model as well as shader materials needs to be on the roadmap. Also needs to be client aware of those state changes. Might be able to generate character sprites with the geometry units of the Nvidia 8000 + line of GPU's.

Anyway as far as scripting stuff there is the indie mmo conference coming up so look for better mmo tools in the future. Exciting tools out there and hope for more in the future.

Good to hear from ya,

SL does get to be interesting in it's own wierd way.
I once made a giant bowl of mac and cheese with physics on the noodles. No real point other then always wanting to swim around in a giant bowl of mac and cheese

A year does go by fast though, that's for sure.
