Resource powered Torque free-roam game.
I have begun work on a free-roam single-player "magical" game, using only Torque resources and products. Though this is inevitably destined to fail, well either that or it will be too generic, so in that case, if I run into something that I cannot get from the resource section I will simply make it a resource myself. Simply put, I love the GG community and would realy like to show how great it is by doing this. Right now I'm adding simple game specific features such as spells with the ability to blind (Creates a server side light on the eye vector(?) which lasts about 60,000 MS), kill, etc. Next thing I'm working on will be a food system, not sure how I'll add this yet, if it's based upon hunting/buying food, just buying food, or just hunting food. It realy just depends how lazy I am.It'll consist of about ten villages (No, not of epic proportions, I know I can't handle that lol), each about 9-10 houses, 20 NPCs, 2-3 shops, 1 bar and inn and then some custom interiors for each city (Church, antique shop, etc).
I'm planning on adding "potions", with the ability to add two items together to create another. I'm not planning on making it an RPG, but a "FPS" with a wand. If I ever decide to make it online (Which won't be soon), then it'll consist of different races (Orc, Human, Elf, Centaur) which will have entirly different game-play elements (Orcs do thing physicaly, Humans use magic and Elfs are mixed, some can accomplish quests that others can't.
I'm not sure how long it'll take for me to get resources up that I create (Not very good at telling people how to do stuff, or taking down notes as I do it) or if I'll even post all up, I'll definatly post some up though. As I have no modeling skill, would any modelers that see this mind leaving their email so we could talk about game-specific models for a reasonable price, or if you have any/want to create any for free (Wink, Wink). Whatever models are used in game, I plan to give out to the community (If alowd to under my license), excluding items from the content packs of course.
