... and in the end I succeeded in getting the terrain into TGEA the way I wanted it. Here's some screenies - the bottom pick showing a material I generated out of CrazyBump. I'll cut some video of it soon.
I bought the Sci-fi texture pack

Oh yeah I bought L3DT at the beginning of the month.

So next I'm going to model up the Harrier - couldn't find a decent cheap one - and finish off the Carrier - hey a rhyme! Also I roped my sister into environmental modelling. I think we are going to have Alpha 2 ready soon.

Terrains looks great! I work with a guy who worked flight test for the Harrier, let me know if you have any questions I can pass along to him.
