Hello everyone,

I'd just like to let everyone know that I've released a training dvd for modeling the female head in Blender to the public. The dvd takes the viewer through the process of modeling a highpoly female head in Blender from start to finish. The dvd focuses on the use of edgeloops, references, accurate anatomy, and more. There's just over 2:30 hours of footage with sections for each area of the face (e.g. the eyes, nose, mouth, etc).

More info on the dvd can be found on my site at: http://montagestudio.org/Site/DVDs.html

A review of the dvd can also be found here: http://www.blendernation.com/2007/03/05/review-modeling-the-female-head/

The dvd runs for an even $30.00 US.

Thanks for looking :)

I always love good tutorials, it's just a shame that the blender interface drives me so insane that I can't use it and plan on buying a modelling program, if only blender would make a nice interface...

@Jonathan

Very nice stuff there. I'm impressed by anyone who can bend Blender to their will.

Silo2 might be what you're looking for. (30-day trial)

@Aaron Ellis

All it takes is a little patience in the beginning to learn the interface. After you get past that first hurdle things fly!

I've seen some amazing things done with Blender, that's for sure. Every few months, I download the latest version and give it another try. I've had the best luck with the new organic modeling tools, but everything else still eludes me. I suspect that a good Blender training vid might be required viewing for for someone like me. :)
