Blog post
Hey all,

First and foremost I'd like to say I've worked my way into receiving Associate status with Garage Games, and finding that out gave me a very good sense of accomplishment. I've been trying to put the best use of the title to work by replying to any posts I can relate to (mainly in the 3D section).

As stated, I have just returned from lovely (yet wet) Eugene, Oregon. I learned a ton from the great people at Garage Games, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend anyone looking into possibly doing the internships to push forward and give it a go, you won't regret it. It's actually really sad not being able to hang out with some kickass developers and be around my kind of crowd anymore.

Alas, I made my drive home to Michigan and have been recooperating from that for a few days, as well as getting my room set up again and all that. Now that I've been home I've sent out a few applications to various game companies in hopes of hopping right into the industry. Regrettably I've received no responses yet, so I feel I should be going back to my original plan on trying to do contract work for fellow GGer's.

Anyone who may be looking for work should definetly get ahold of me at kovac1274@gmail.com as well as take a look at my portfolio at http://kovac.flyingtemple.com/ and we can further discuss any projects you may have.

If getting contract work falls through I really don't know what I'm going to do. I'd bear no shame in going back and working at loading warehouse for $10 an hour, but I'd definetly like to avoid it. Once you get your feet wet in the industry, you really don't want to have to break the streak and go back to working to make money, but remain working for the passion and love of making games and playing them. Hopefully all will be well and things will work out, but we'll see.

Another quick thanks to Garage Games for giving me the opportunity to do what I've done. I can't wait to see what else is brewing behind its doors!
