I just bought Torque 2D last night. Had fun for about 10 minutes when I found an error in the tutorial that stops the code from compiling but other than that it's looking great.

I'm currently planning on doing a remake of Captain Comic in Torque 2D, since it should be fairly easy to implement (basic platformer engine , only x scrolling required). Though I'll definitely be improving the interface. I'm thinking of just overlaying the health on the top right of the screen and hiding the other info in an inventory screen. Which would save an awful lot of screen real estate used by the original. Plus it would give the added bonus of being wide screen.

If you want to help just send me an email.

@Jeremy: Yes, that typo in the tutorial was fixed 5 mins after it was mentioned. Sorry for the confusion, it'll be in the update.

Good Luck with your project and sincere thanks for choosing T2D for your dev platform, may it serve you well. :)

@Melv , no sweat I expect small issues like that to pop up in early release software. Though there is another issue that I have that I've just posted in the forums that I didn't expect to get through the first proof test of the documentation.
