I decided making computer games back in the '90s while I was serving in the French Army in Africa.
I still remind this particular day - and certainly still have the notes I took on the scrapbook somewhere in a carton, with the particular smell everything exposed to tropical rainforest areas have then.
Back at civilian life, it was time to get a job and to feed myself. 15 years passed on (with marriage and 3 children), with some contacts and little experiences in the Mod making - and most of it: Macintosh computers ;-).
In the '97, I imaginated a vast world with a very good plot - that finally appeared to be similar to Half Life from which at that time I knew nothing. It turned to be very difficult to make a game. Specially when you're not a programmer and even more you're not in that business already.
Anyway, the idea was still living, silently awaiting the day it would come out. This is strange that it's in the present days it's the most alive, as I'm about to try starting a publishing (mainly books) company to give myself autonomy I always wanted.
The idea and it's sequel have never been so strong and so present than this past 15 days.
So, I will definitively give them a try.
Alone, if necessary...
