Interview Time!
So what does it take for an indie studio to publish successful downloadable games for the new consoles?
I got the chance to ask Steve Taylor of NinjaBee this question (and LOTS more), as he's got two popular downloadable games out already for XBLA, a third one with an imminent release, a new PC Massively Multiplayer RTS about to hit beta, and some more things in the pipeline he can't talk about yet.
But I also asked about the path from a conventional "gun-for-hire" studio to a (surprisingly, much larger) studio self-funding and self-publishing their own independent games, design, and some other fun questions that ought to be of interest to other indies (and game fans).
This was a very weird interview for me. I put out the call for volunteers after my last sets of interviews, and Steve volunteered. He'd be perfect, except that he's also my boss right now for the "day job." Time to turn the tables, after he interviewed me for the position last year!
Anyway - if you are interested, take a look at the longish interview over at Tales of the Rampant Coyote:

BTW, Jeremy, you've got multiple games out now... you interested in being a victim sometime in the not-too-distant future?
