Codeweaver conversion going as planned... mwahaha

No, the point is not the web browser. Here's a before picture if you forgot how it looked :)

So far, so good. As soon as I tweak a bit more of the UI, I'll focus on the feature additions I've been intending to add.

Don't be surprised if you see a release really soon. Next two days kind of soon. This isn't going to be the "Delta 7" release, but rather what I originally indended for Delta 6. You'll need .Net 2.0 for this by the way.

More later.

- Sam

Edit - Some in IRC mentioned that they hate the blue thingy, and are concerned that it looks like that. I assure everyone, you can turn it off. =)

Dude, what about those people that aren't quite ready to install dot net 2! There are still quite a few issues with it and most people don't like to install a microsoft product till SP1!

Sam Bacsa   (Nov 08, 2005 at 12:22 GMT)
@FruitBatInShades: .Net 2.0 is pretty polished. SP1 for .Net 1.1 came out like 2 years after the release of the framework.

There's a huge performance gain that's noticable due to it running on the new framework. Not to mention the UI enhancements (not just the colors -- that's neat and stuff, but I'm talking about streamlined menus which can be more easily manipulated, to the fact that I can stick a textbox in a toolbar without too much code), the language enhancements (generics [omg huge help], aliases, new reflection, static classes [*shrug* hey I like them], plus more), and even the features of the IDE (refactoring, snippets, type-as-you-go completion) make it much easier for me to code this thing.

.Net 2.0 works in tandem with 1.1, so there's no reason why you'd not want to have it installed ;)

Woo I got it to lockup by selecting my old project file under "new project" instead of selecting a directory.

Why do I now have to put my tsdev file in the example directory?

Unsung Zero   (Nov 08, 2005 at 13:43 GMT)
Neil,
I too was getting it to lockup each time I went to work on my old project. I had just installed over the previous release, which seemed to be the problem. Just uninstall BOTH codeweaver AND Torquedev from your installed programs listing. Then continue to install the new release (or wait a few days for Sam to do his next one) and it should work just fine.

It is starting to get a bit annoying that I have to reupdate my version all the time, because it says that my hardware configuration has changed (which it has not).

For the record, I love the blue thing.

I'm with sam. Go Blue! =)

@Stefan: If you download Delta 6 (which I rolled out about 3 days ago), you will no longer have to authorize the program.
