Just a minor update

Hey all,

Just wanted to keep everyone apprised of the situation: I've been busy with family stuff as of late. This does not mean, however, that I haven't been working as planned!

I know I said November 1st, but I couldn't meet that deadline, unfortunately. My new deadline should be the latest Sunday evening.

Sorry for all those people waiting. I've gotten a lot of e-mails asking what's-up, as I've not made any posts for a while, so I wanted to keep everyone up-to-date.

- Sam

Edit - By the way, the reason it's also taking longer is because I've been porting it to .Net 2.0. The memory management and features of 2.0 are a lot more advanced than in 1.1. I have a fully-functional copy that works in 1.1, and depending on whether or not I'm successful in getting over some of the "humps" I've encountered porting it over, I may just release the 1.1 version in the meantime. I'll know on Sunday :)

This is good news, I've loved using TorqeDev (now CodeWeaver?) for my scripting, aside from a few tiny annoyances (I can't find a file tree refresh for when I modify files from outside the program). This is by far my favourite solution I've seen for scripting though, great work!

Hey Sam!

Good to hear you are still alive and kicking! Fantastic job, It will be interesting to hear how the .net 2.0 conversion goes.

Cool. I'd like to hear where you're having difficulties in porting over to .NET 2.0.

Is this codeweaver thing a new name for ToqueDev?

I was so excited to try the scripting environment, but when I started deving my new game I completely forgot about it.

I'm actually going to try and get it going. Guess I'll have to search around for a link :)

Sam,
I found this wierd bug: When I set a breakpoint and debug the script, if I want to remove the break point after I finished debugging, it give an assert and no longer debugs.
This is more of a general way of happening, I
