i decide start a IDE for the precious TorqueScript Language :D the basic idea is provide a up2dated , and well integrated with TGE TGEA TGB obliviously open source IDE to the community ..
Why?
1.- simple, all the torque ides are like abandoned
2.- i want integrate my ide to my project ( imagine some time on a comersial stuf)
How?
on this moment aim deciding about the ways for the development, from my point of view i have this options.
1. Eclipse ( diaggg i hate eclipse )
2. NetBeans ( integrated on main netbeans or start based on)
3. Komodo ( i love komodo and now the version little 4 is free :D)
4. Make mi own lexer and syn taxis parser ( can be a good )
:D
tnsk for read and sorry for the bad english

Just gotta say, Torsion and Codeweaver are two amazing IDEs (not abandoned) to look at as benchmarks for your own work. I'm an avid Torsion user....I honestly don't think I can live without it now. IDEs are good!

As far as your own syntax hilighter, Alex Scarborough has already done a version of this for doing shaders in TGEA.
Cheers!

I agree with Guimo regarding eclipse, it is really a very good ide and framework to develop new ide.
