Hello Everyone,
Underworlds Army Has been stopped for a bit. I Noticed i didnt have enough skill to be working on such a Big game. I have decided to work on a smaller project and continue Underworlds When it gets complete. This Smaller Project is Rise Of Civilization, An RTS(Like Age Of Empires, Empire Earth, Etc...). Here Is Some of the Information for Rise Of Civilizations:
-Create Your Own Civilization
-Customize Buildings And Troops
-Take Control of A Single a Troop in first person to Fight in the Battles Yourself.
-Become The Strongest Civilization And Rule the World...
Information:
A Medieval Based game with No background story. The main goal is to destroy all other nations and become the strongest civilization.
Info Behind some of the listed features.
Players have the ability to create thier own civilization, including buildings and units. All civilizations will have an advantage against the other in one form or the other. Maybe one civilization will have a structure hp increase, but with that advantage, another civilization will have better siege weapons(catapults, trebuchets). No one civilization will be better than the other, winning is based on the skills and tactics of the player. With 5 Civilizations, and the ability to create them, battles will be forever lasting. Take control of a Unit you own, and become him, either until he dies or until you do not wish to control him anymore. You see through the eyes of the unit and every move of the unit is in your hands. Taking control of an archer can provide you with a range advantage within a battle, Or controling a soldier can provide melee advantages, providing you know how to fight well with the unit.
Some of these Features(Like the Ability to control a Unit) May not be put in until a later release. I Have Already Made some of the models for the game itself, 2 castles(one of which needs to be fixed), a house, wall segments, and an Archer Tower. I have 2 more Castles almost done. With the customization, i will have a certain amount of different building a player can choose from for his civilization, along with units. The player will also be able to choose certain advantages for the civilization and disadvantages(which are required, 1 for every advantage). If you wish, give suggestions, comments, flames, or anything you feel, but below im going to show some screenshots of the objects untextured(as the textures need to be fixed, they are good, but need to be better):

You can Easily tell which castle Needs Fixing..... :)

But have you given serious thought to what goes into an RTS? Short of the massive amount of writing necessary for a good RPG, an RTS is possibly the most content intensive game type you can tackle.
Having said that, more power to you. I am all for more RTS development in the GG community.

Then i would have to go through the process of creating a great amount of characters, which i cant make even one at the moment... so....that left me with a couple choices 1. slow down progress to a snail crawl and try to do something that i couldnt do without learning a grat deal more, 2. stop that for a bit and make something else so i get the necessary skills to make UA afterwards, or 3. Just quit and start something else... i didnt just want to quit, or just keep slow and well, bored, trying to create this art im not even good enough to make at the moment.
I would rather make a game that i can create game art for and have much fun doing it. i like medieval based games and creating the buildings are quite easy for me to do, as you see(if you think they are good to begin with, hehe. i cant even make a simple modern day house...i can take all the reference pictures i want, but i just cant seem to do it, but when i get a picture of a castle, or a medieval house, i can create it right there. dunno why...) from my screenshots(btw, the 2nd castle needs to be fixed, the cylinders can be removed and many other problems i can point out...). Well, thanks for your reply. I hope i Explained that to you well, if you have further questions, feel free to ask, or just comment..,
Thank you,
Michael
