Made some more progress on Shinju, a small 2D casual puzzle game. Its actually a sokoban remake.

So what's new?
-I now have 45 original levels. Still need to make 55 more, so I have a total of 100. Problem is I need these arranged from easy to difficult. And its also hard for me to tell if these levels are too easy or too hard. Some playtest volunteers out there?
-Moved the "reset" and "undo last move" button from the game menu to the right bottom of the game interface.
-Game itself is 90% done now
-Level editor is 40% done

Here's how it looks right now:

Eventually this will run on windows and MAC ( Mac OS 10.2.x and above). Not 100% sure what I'll do with it once its done. Probably send it around to some casual game publishers and see if there's any interest, if not, create my own site for it.

I love puzzle games, so it would be fun to test it if you need more testers. :)

Great, I'll contact you when I have a playable version. (I'm thinking that will be some time next week).

Hmm, just found something disturbing about the name "Shinju". I tought it ment "pearl", and made perfect sense for this game becuase you have to collect the pearls. But now I read this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinju Looks like its the name of a torture technique. So, maybe its best if I change the name now I still can. Any ideas?

Nice! I look forward to testing it :)

When it comes to the name part, i am not really sure ppl care that name mean "something" in some language. Not all speak/read that language anyway, so they wouldnt even know why it got the name in the first place. Atleast not for a casual puzzle game. Would be something else if it was lets say a mmorpg or something with a big comunity that talk about all aspects of the game.
Just my 2 cent.

Well, I'd recommend a name-change. Imagine if your casual market is attempting to tell friends or family about the game and do a google search on it only to find breast bondage sites. Not the best impression. A community doesn't have to talk about the deeper philosophical meanings of the word. They simply have to do a search on it.

"Breast bondage" ?
There should be boobs instead of shells ;) j/k

Some words are really has strong second meaning, like "gay" in english...

finding a good name isn't easy. Guess I'll go with something simple like "Magic Pearls" .... Does anyone have a better idea?

Ups wasnt thinking about the bdsm angel. Better find a new name fast:)

Dont have any fancy idees og what to call your name, only names that pop up is boring stuff like: Pearls, Pearl Heaven, Golden pearl, Pearl world, pearl puzzle... sorry
