My first .plan, what I've been up to and my goals. The biggest goal is the last one. Port Torque to PS2.
Well, it's about time I filled out my first .plan. I've been a GG member for a while and I didn't get serious about making games until last October. I talked the chair of the computer science department into letting me work on a game for credit to replace software engineering. It was an easy sell because software engineering wasn't being offered that quarter and it was the only class I needed from the CS department to get my CS minor.

Well many brutal weeks of work later here it is. www.FullMetalSpider.com It is in a rough beta state at the moment and there is still more kinds of bugs to be added to the player characters you can choose from as well as other issues.

I have roughly 540 hours into it and yes I know it's not done. :)

It would be along further but I took 2 months off from it when I graduated school in December.

What I've been up to lately:

1. Went to this years GDC with some friends. It rocked. I came back with a nice stack of business cards and I had made a few good friends.

2. Bugfixed the alpha until it was beta and recompiled it on a borrowed mac in time for e3. A friend of mine put my demo/beta on a compilation demo cd that she was going to hand out at e3.

3. Playing with my new toy, a linux ps2 kit. (very, very close to a dev kit)

4. Getting better from a bug, I was sick most of this week. I'm feeling much better now. Ironically last week I was chasing down a software bug that took me a while to find. :)

Goals for the next month:
1. Finish modelling the characters my concept artist made for me.

2. Animate those models

3. Add more levels and buildings to my game.

4. Port Torque over to PS2 Linux. :)
