Well, after learning all I could before buying and shopping around, I finally bought TGE 1.4 about two weeks ago. I posted a multiple bot tutorial in the Torque Documentation forum recently since I never found on that I liked.

My next hurtle is spawning Items from a Trigger, with which I've not had much luck, but I'm still learning how TGE works. Man, TGE doesn't pull any punches, that's for sure. And the lack of documentation makes it like crawling up a brick wall.

I've created a prototype with a 2D Gamemaker that will be used for creating my TGE project. I created a functional RTS with the Gamemaker also, but I am not sure if that will be created in TGE or not. I also created a 2D clone of an old Intellivision game named, "Dreadnaught Factor." I might make a 3D clone in TGE of it, too.

The best documentation you can get, is going to be any of the Torque books. Ken Finney's are great, he has two available on Amazon, or you can get Ed Maurina's book from either Amazon or Garage Games.

Getting your head around Torque is a pain, but with some time invested, you'll get there.

Cheers, Mark.
