Onslaught and Die Happy both back on track. New short film projects on the way and a lot of modelling.
Well, Cache Minds is officially done and submitted to the New York International Indie Video and Film Festival. We'll hear back in a couple of days whether or not it's actually going to be chosen. Now I can sit down and finish the audio post-production on Die Happy. And it will be done, duh-duh, dum, DONE!
Since I've been involved heavily in Black Comedy and editing Cache, I haven't had any time to work on Onslaught. But I actually got to sit down last night and work on the main character's model (trying to get away from using the Realm Wars models now that I have the basic camera tweaks done). I'm working on the female character's model first. Right now she's a bit bulky around the edges, but I'm smoothing her out for the LOD close-ups as it moves into over-the-shoulder rail-shooter mode (some of the rail shooter modes are FPS HUD modes for turrets and the like). Because of the distant camera, her further LOD can be rather low=poly without much problem. Hopefully I'll be able to work on it more here in the near future. Being a one-man team can really suck, but I'm also unwilling to beleager anyone else with my hectic schedule.
I'm also working on a couple of film shorts to apply the things I learned in Die Happy and also find new people to work with who are motivated (much like how everyone wants to make a game, everyone wants to be in a movie...some just don't want to work on it).
