Blog post
A funny thing happened to me earlier this week when I tried to register for Garage Games. Turns out I already registered back in 2002!
Well, certainly a lot had happened between then and now. Back in old 02 I just left my job in retail and working as a junior animator, for a sweat shop doing a terrible children's tv show which I wouldn't wish upon anyone to see.
Now, I'm a veteran game developer, with a little over 5 years experience and lead animator for a game studio. Which leads me to why I'm here...back here.
I'm all amped and ready to break from the crushing current that I've got myself caught up in. With a year of preproduction, an almost completed (revised) copy of a game design doc on my lap and finally finding my way back to GG. I'm all chuffed with my copy of the Torque engine installed on my box. And have already started plugging away.
And how about Garage Games, sheeshes! Come along ways for sure!
I tell you what, this engine is a few leaps and bounds ahead of the current one my employer is using. And we're developing for next gen machines.
Anyways, I'd just like to introduce myself to anyone in the GG community that happens upon this .plan blog thing. And also to mention my intentions of actively participating in the indie community. Let's see what becomes of it.
