I figured I would put up a little demo of the game so far, its just the first level and the level still has some things to be added.. mainly just little decors to fill up the buildings.. :)

I will work on the teams and CTF scripts after I get this level finished and then work on some more levels.. :)

game demo

its about 22 mbs..

any and all comments welcome.. :) *good or bad :)

I like the overall feel of the level. You are right, add more detail and lighting to the interiors and it will look better. However, why is the weapon constantly swaying?

its one of three I got from the game beavers site...
so I dont take any credit for that :)

I dont like the ammo either it glows alittle bright and such.. there is a ak47 in there too so may look at using that for now.. I just got tired of the crossbow.. :)

looked way to big for the player.. :)

I will continue fine tuning the details.. mainly I am working on decors in milkshape to fill up the level.. :)
want to add some wall hangings.. and some more fixed items such as tables chairs and fixtures..

thanks for looking :)

I liked the level alot. I could see how this would make a decent ctf map. Again, more detail on the interiors would be alot better. My 2 cents.

I really like it!! :) Mainly the little footprint effect.

Tom Feni   (Mar 02, 2006 at 18:24 GMT)
hehehe, the footprint actually turned out different then what I thought.. its sort of light..
I was working on a footprint that would more match the size of the girls foot and not the orc..
and something to show that someone had been there recently..
:)
thanks for the comments.. I will be working alot on the aesthetics of the level, so it doesnt look so boxy.. :)

more to come..

I also love the level, it's a great example showing how to game looks
totally different from other TGE games when you change the terrain, character and gui.

Nice images, could you tell me what program you used to create the game and skybox?

BTW I just saw the moving window, nice touch.

The game uses torque stock 1.4 and I use worldcraft to make the buildings, milkshape for dts, paintshoppro to fix textures and the textures, skybox, and weapon/model I got from other sources..

basically I am just using all the assets I have found on the net to make this.. :)

and the window does add a small ambience to the level, I saw it used in UT 2004 and thought, wow thats too cool.. :)
next I will work on adding movement to the trees.. :) kind of a swaying motion to give the illusion of wind.. :)
