Its been a few days now since we started this project - and we been discussing quite a bit. Going from medevil fantasy to Sci-fi fantasy game and back to Medevil Fantasy. And I believe we are now set on that this is going to be a Medevil fantasy.
At this point we also know how the game is going to work. Its not going to be a usual MMORPG type of game since we will be having this in First Person. Also you will be more in control of how you fight. like a Click and Hit system with your mouse.
I can't tell much more about the game at this point but this is one of the things we are going to try to support a lot - to be more in control.
Even though we havent started on our MMO project yet we are working on a module for Neverwinter Nights 2 (NWN2) which will function as a Prolouge for our MMO. We are probaly steadily starting up on our MMO project in a few weeks when 1 of our leader designers/programmers gets the time to start because of his real life job.
I will though in the mean while when I have the time for it look into trying to get our world in shape for our MMO though I will mostly be on our NWN2 trying to get that finished asap.
It should be said that we are currently only 2 people working on this project. And it will stay like this for a little while til we get a few things sorted out. But it wont be long till we start looking for more people in helping us speeding things up a bit.
I hope this clears up things a bit about our "little" project at this point.

One thing I'm curious about is you mention being "a lot more in control" and spoke of a click and hit system. I was always under the impression that this could be a significant challenge with an MMO style game because of at least in part the server being able to process these "instant" type of commands under load as well as accounting for network latency across different players.
