I'd have to say, aside from just working on it, the best thing about Legions is the weapons. Yes I know there are only four right now, but they encompass such a range of playing styles and strategies that it's great.
There are people out there who are content to sit and hide away in any nooks and crannies (sp?) they can find to snipe unsuspecting people. This would be the same as most other FPS's, but with Legions, it is not. Because the laser rifle casts out a beam that everyone can see, you must either be very selective with your shots and only charge up at the last second, or have it aimed always but be very willing to die...a lot.
Then you have the rocket launcher purists, myself included. This is the closest thing to the disc launcher from Tribes, but I believe it surpasses it in every way. Being able to remote detonate it is definitely a bonus, especially now with the increased blast radius. I never use it that way, I much prefer to catch my enemy when he is on the ground and lead my shot to catch them on the move. I try to get mid-air kills once in a while, but since they are so few and far between I do this less often. Though when you do get one, that is one hell of a satisfying feeling!
The grenade launcher is a beast from a different continent, of which I rarely visit. There are many people out there who can use them and quite effectively, I however am not one of them. :) If you see me with one it is usually an accident. If you can get a handle of the remote detonation of the grenades down, meaning flying while still holding the first mouse button down, I have all the respect in the world for you. I tend to get killed a significant amount by people with them, but thats beside the point.
Then there is the chaingun. Ah the chaingun; my friend. This is one of the greatest finishing weapons in a game in recent memory for me. I mean in most games you might whip out your pistol or deagle to finish someone off, but not in Legions. You whip out a freakin chaingun! How's that for modesty! Once I hit a guy with a rocket or two, I switch out to the chaingun, unload a few hundred rounds and they're gone in no time. I see some people using it as their primary weapon, and while I can see some use in that, you gotta have some serious cahones to pull something like that off.

In reference to your earlier question, I have not seen any concept drawings as I don't know of any that still exist other than some that did NOT make it. I have only been working on the project since mid-June so it was already pretty far along in production when I came on and all weapons had been decided on and basically finished before I even started.
