if u want to join cmon but u have to be able to help this is no profit just here to make a game so we can learn im not very good myself i will also be learning but if ure good and just wanna help cmon were going to need mentors when we finish and i start the profit version the 3d version ull get cut even if ure not in 3d version for helping me make my first game if u want to apply pls apply if u dont know what ure good at and i cant use ima have to let u go or get someone to teach u ill stop it for when school start we have about 2-3months depending how long it take u people to join or apply ty for reading atleast

I would recommend posting this in the job forums rather than as a blog. Usually blogs here are used as development progress rather than calls for assistance.

For starters I'd take that enthusiam and apply it equally(if not exponentially) to school. You aren't making a great impression with the WoW-phonics. No offense man, but put some effort into communication, otherwise you'll never be able to collaborate on a project.

P.S. I never want to meet the person that was impressed enough with this post to push the rating up to 4 Stars..

In the old days, publishers used to remove as much punctuation as possible from manuscripts to save on ink...

I commend your contemporary efforts to help GG save server space.

wow. not so much as a single punctuation mark...

so like how does one just talk on and on without making sentences clear do you just keep rambling like this or do you just not worry about when to start when to end when to rest and when to start a uh ok i forgot what i was trying to say i guess i was saying something about nothing or nothing about something yeah thats right punctuation tends to help stuffs and uh oh yeah and stuff would be bad if a game was actually like that with no way to tell what the subject of the sentece was about or what was trying to be said

How old are you? Go to gamedev.com, gamasutra.com, and get some basic game development education. Come up with a synopsis that includes genre, platform, setting, and description. Write a game treatment and then start outlining your game doc. Afterwards you can start asking for assistance with the technical specifications. If you put 200% effort into your project you may find someone to offer 5-10% of effort to your cause. Education starts in the books first, then dive into the code, then gather some basic art skills. Then you can put a prototype together on your lonesome. Hopefully your prototype gets people interested and then the volunteers might come. Good Luck because your way behind the power curve. Hit me up after you finish a treatment and I'll look over it for ya and give you some tips. For a three month project write the smallest game you can possibly imagine. Something around the Breakout, asteroids, r-type, or space invaders level. If you want to be bold you can probably get an old school mario or zelda type prototype done with the content packs. Avoid a 3d game because that will more tool knowledge that you most likely lack. Whatever you do though, don't quit. I don't care if it takes you 20 years to build your game. ~Glenn
