i got the indi 3d game engine today
yay me
only one thing
is it suppose to act like the demo?
the file name says it and im not sure if it has everything
and it hasn't asked me for my ignition key yet... and i cant find anywhere to get it...
if anyone thinks they might know the answer to my problem please message me... or something... whatever you do here...

Try the forums. And what engine did you buy TorqueX, TGE, TGEA or TGB

It won't ask you for a key to get it started. And yes, it is functionally the same thing as the demo--except it has the source code included and you're legally allowed to sell something you make with it.

That is an awesome gift! Heck it is an awesome gift even if you buy it yourself. I would recommend you go get the books GG sells on the subject.

At the bottom is the books. I have all 3 and would recommend them all. If money is an issue then get the first one to get started and buy the others later. They are all great sources of info.

frank i think i saw that book in my library and looked at it and im pretty sure it only had how to do the pc stuff ((i have a mac)) but thanks for the suggestion anyways

The scripting that you'll be doing works on Mac or PC. Things like using Milkshape, however, will only work on the PC since there is not a Mac version of Milkshape. But the core of scripting will work with both.

ok so does blender work in place of milkshape?
