Hello!

Our medieval villager pack released and avaliable in our store!
Here are some screenshots:

This pack is a multimesh character designed for you to develop your own characters.

In a full version you will get all sources, including villager.max. Edit it - delete parts you do not need and simply export to dts, it will work just fine with all animations provided in pack. And you will get your own unique character!
Layered PSD sources are also included, so texture editing will be simple and quick!

I like the model, very nice topology and very cool curves.
But the texture is a bit weak tough, just looks like a plain white color for the shirt, and just black for the jacket above it, same with the trousers.
Can't really recognize materials or details in the shirt, like folds, buttons, wear and tear places, etc.
This could be the render tough.

Also the style doesn't look medieval at all, he looks more like a pirate than like a medieval villager.

I do like the fact that you can change his clothes :).

Hello.

A question regarding your characters packs (Pam, Baseman, etc.) in general: what kind of skeleton/rigging setup they use? I mean are they compatible with the "default TGE" setup and animations (Kork the Ork, Adam / Eve, Elf etc.)?

@Florian: Thank you for your comments! Yep, textures are not excelent, we will update them soon for free.
As to the style - it was really hard to find good references, so you are right here.

We are glad that you like multimesh system, all our new character packs will have it to be more universal. This is like a test one.

@Henri: Pam and Baseman have biped bone structure based on TGE Ork one, but there could be slight differences in hierarchy that won't let you reuse old dsq. But since Ork and Pam/Baseman have biped bones - all animations could be transfered via 3dsmax biped system.
We will try to use standard ork dsq with Pam/Baseman to know for sure and post our results here.
Results
Pam/Baseman do not work with standard player dsq's, but biped animation transfer is possible.

Is there a female version of this pack coming out, I hope so :) No matter how many variations you put together. I am still waiting for the companion version of another great multi-mesh character pack. Its just its been a year and the village of men are getting lonely. Uh just look at the Family guy episode with Peter and the gang stranded on the island. LOL

@Johnny: Of course, villager will get his woman! We would appreciate any reference materials, which you can post in our forum. I've just created a new thread for Dairy-woman preproduction phase.

Looks impressive! I really like how well the beard sits on his face -- it looks quite natural, and he has pleasant features that are plain enough for an NPC and don't call attention to themselves -- just right for a background character.

Nicely done!
